2. Information you give us
When you join the waitlist

We also record when you joined. Each mobile number and email address can join once as a vehicle owner and once as an advertiser.
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address, the type of enquiry, a subject and your message, so we can reply. We also record when it was sent and whether we have replied.
When you email, call or message us
Whatever you choose to share in that conversation. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply.
3. Information collected automatically
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Usage statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They don't use cookies. Visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier that resets every day, so they can't be followed from one day to the next or across other websites.
- No cookies. This site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking.

We only contact waitlist members about their waitlist place and our launch. We don't sell personal information, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you by automated means.
5. Who we share it with
We don't share waitlist or contact details with advertisers, brands or other drivers. We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc.: website hosting, usage statistics and performance measurement.
- MongoDB, Inc. (MongoDB Atlas): the database that stores waitlist entries and contact messages.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If we add a service provider that handles your information, we'll update this list.
6. Where it is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Nigeria. To be confirmed: the countries where our hosting and database run, and the safeguards that protect transfers out of Nigeria
7. How long we keep it

8. Security
The site is only served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The database can only be reached with Vehicash's credentials, and the forms collect only the details listed above. No system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as bank or identity details, through the contact form.
9. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, for example to leave the waitlist;
- restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another organisation in a portable format.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To make a request, email hello@vehicash.ng or message us on WhatsApp at +234 906 401 4780. Please contact us from the phone number or email address you registered with, or tell us which one it was, so we can find your details and confirm the request is yours.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
